Human weight is one of the most important physical characteristics. After all, both the lack of weight and its excess over time leads to health problems. To correctly calculate the optimal weight of a person, many different factors must be taken into account. The most important thing is to start doing diet and lifestyle "mistakes" as quickly as possible.

Instructions
Step 1
The traditional approach to calculating weight is to use generally accepted height-to-weight ratios. There is a table that tells you what weight is optimal for a person with a particular height. The convenience of this system is that the correct weight can be calculated very quickly. There is an even more simplified approach to calculating the normal weight for a person by his height. This is the so-called Lorentz formula.
Step 2
First you need to measure the height (this should be done as accurately as possible, preferably using a medical stadiometer). The calculation of the optimal weight according to the Lorentz formula is the simplest one. It is necessary to subtract a hundred from a person's height in centimeters and subtract from this value the difference (height in centimeters "minus" 150), divided by 2. To simplify the calculation of the optimal weight and not make a mistake in the calculations, you can use special programs. The interface of one of them is shown in the figure.
Step 3
Another easy way to determine your ideal weight is to use a special height-to-weight ratio chart. The advantage of such tables is that most of them also take into account the person's age, which is completely not taken into account in the formulas. Using such a table is quite easy - just find the desired weight at the intersection of the age and height columns corresponding to your real physical parameters. One of these tables is shown in the image.
