A winter fishing tent is a popular accessory that makes fishing uncomfortable and less effective without it. Indeed, in open spaces in winter there are especially strong and cold winds. It is from the piercing wind and blizzard that the winter tent is designed to protect. Of course, you can buy a ready-made tent in the store. But usually the price is very high and is rarely justified. It turns out that you can easily replace a winter tent with a simple structure made from scrap materials.
It is necessary
- - greenhouse film or awning;
- - a high ice ax or a shovel handle;
- - standard screwdrivers or their equivalent;
- - plastic bottle.
Instructions
Step 1
The structure will be built on the principle of an Indian wigwam. An awning or film will be used as the walls. The center shaft is a shovel handle or a tall ice ax. Below the awning is covered with snow.
Step 2
Take a shovel handle or an ice ax. With an ice pick, everything is simple. We screw it vertically in the chosen place and sprinkle the attachment point with snow. With the handle, everything is more complicated. The shank needs to be prepared. Sharpen at the end or provide a sharp point. Our task is to fix the central axis in such a way that it is firmly held and is vertical.
Step 3
Now slide the bottom of the plastic bottle over the top of your ice pick or handle. This is necessary so that the film or awning does not pierce.
Step 4
The next step is to make the walls. Take a greenhouse film or a standard awning. The film will be much cheaper. And we will do it as shown in the picture above. We put the film over the rod so that a dome is formed. The scope of the canopy is independently adjustable. The awning or foil is square. Don't worry about this. Wrinkles can occur with sufficient film area. They will settle down in such a way that you get a dome.
Step 5
Now you need an entrance - cut an awning or film at a convenient point ½ of its length. Reinforce the convergence point with reinforced tape or stitch with a needle in the case of an awning. It is necessary to exclude further discrepancy of the material.
Step 6
Fasten the edges of the tarpaulin or film with the screwdriver. Instead of screws, simple long screws are also suitable. You will determine the attachment points after the first installation. After this, the holes in the tent or film must be reinforced so that they do not diverge from the load on the material due to the wind. They can be reinforced with reinforced tape in the case of a film or with eyelets on the awning.
Step 7
When the main structure is installed, it remains to cover the lifting edges of the awning with snow. This is analogous to the standard skirt on a winter tent.
