The main football holiday of this year - the European Championship - will begin soon. It will take place in two countries: first in Poland, and then in Ukraine. Of course, fans of all national teams and just football fans will want to buy souvenirs to commemorate this significant event.
In every city where the Euro 2012 matches will be held, a brisk souvenir trade has already been launched, ranging from simple magnets to a complete analogue of a set of sports uniforms in which this or that team will perform. As they say, for every taste and wallet. You can buy literally anything your heart desires, including the Euro 2012 mascots - Slavka and Slavek. Of course, the richest choice will be in the capitals of these two states: Warsaw and Kiev.
It is much easier for Russian citizens to travel to Ukraine than to Poland. After all, such a trip will cost them less (with the exception, perhaps, of residents of the Kaliningrad region, bordering Poland), and does not require a visa. You can enter the territory of Ukraine even without a foreign passport, not to mention the practical absence of a language barrier. Therefore, first of all, the attention of Russians wishing to personally observe football matches, and at the same time to buy souvenirs with Euro 2012 symbols, will be attracted by the following Kiev points:
- "Intertop" store on the central street of Kiev - Khreshchatyk, in the house number 21. There you can buy licensed products: T-shirts, scarves, hats, as well as all kinds of flags, magnets, key rings, etc.;
- the famous Andriyivsky Uzviz - a museum street where many famous masters of culture lived and worked, one of the main tourist attractions in Kiev. There are many shops, souvenir shops where you can find literally any symbols of the championship;
- “ECCO” store, located at the address: Basseinaya street, building 19. In it you can find T-shirts, hats, scarves, as well as championship mascots. There are also small souvenirs such as key rings, magnets.
If a football fan wants to buy an official championship ball, he should head to the Adidas store located in the Globus shopping center on Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti). But this souvenir is not cheap: the declared cost is 1,100 Ukrainian hryvnia, that is, more than 5,000 rubles. Souvenir (not official) balls are sold in many retail outlets and are, of course, much cheaper: about 90 hryvnia.
There are similar outlets in all other cities of Ukraine where the matches of the Euro 2012 championship will be held: Donetsk, Kharkov and Lvov. The same football fans who travel to Poland will be able to purchase similar souvenirs in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan.
