Strengthening and maintaining health is necessary at any age. But often there is not enough time to visit sports clubs or they are not on the way. There is only one way out - to organize a sports mini-complex at home. When equipping a sports corner, do not forget about mats. They are essential for safety.

Instructions
Step 1
We buy the required number of sheets of thick foam rubber. The density and elasticity of foam rubber can greatly reduce pain in the event of an inaccurate fall and prevent injury. Mats are especially needed where there are children.
Step 2
We cut out blanks of the required size from foam rubber. Usually it is 1330x 230x60mm. But you can make a sports mat according to your size and a suitable shape: either square or rectangular.
Step 3
We purchase material for the mat cover. Previously, mats were sheathed with tarpaulin or leatherette. These materials are not very practical: they quickly get dirty, torn, and become unusable. Modern synthetic materials are practical, beautiful, durable: they are caprovinyl or reinforced polyvinyl chloride. The main thing is that the materials are non-toxic, anti-allergic and can be sanitized.
Step 4
We make a pattern from the material, two parts for the base, four parts for the sides, leaving 2 cm for allowances on all sides.
Step 5
We are stitching the future cover from three sides. In the fourth side we sew a zipper or make lacing so that the cover can be periodically removed and washed.
Step 6
On the sides, for ease of movement, it is necessary to make handles, either from a sling, or from sheathed foam rubber.
Step 7
For a sports corner for children, the surfaces of the mat can be decorated with a bright, fun application.
Step 8
If you take 2 sheets of foam rubber, sheathe them and sew a common zipper into one side, you get a folding mat that is easy to store and takes up less space.
Step 9
We put the foam rubber in the cover, fasten it.
