The lungs are a vital organ for humans. But the rhythm of life that many people lead at the present time contributes to the creation of stressful situations, while breathing becomes shallow, shortness of breath and chest pains appear. The expression "to breathe deeply" is less and less related to modern man. Daily breathing exercises will help to restore the lungs to their previous volume and learn to relate more calmly to the troubles that arise.

Instructions

Step 1

Sit in Turkish, put your hands on your knees, straighten your back. Close your eyes and watch your own breathing. Drive away all extraneous thoughts from yourself, and concentrate only on inhalation - exhalation. Gradually, you will notice that you have become calm and ready for breathing exercises.

Step 2

Move your attention to your belly. As you inhale, inflate it as much as possible, while exhaling, draw it in. This breathing is called diaphragmatic breathing, and only the lower part of the lungs is involved. Now switch to chest breathing - your chest will expand to the sides, your stomach and shoulders need to be kept still. The third type of breathing is clavicular. Do it after you feel that you have mastered the middle (chest) breathing well. You draw some air into your lungs, while only the upper lungs are working. After 3-4 minutes, switch to full breathing: when inhaling, first fill the diaphragm, then the chest, and finally the collarbone. Exhalation occurs in the same order: air leaves the abdomen, chest, and last of all from the collarbones.

Step 3

Close the right nostril with the thumb of your right hand, slightly pressing on the wing of the nose. Close your eyes, breathe only through the left nostril for 2 to 3 minutes. Then close the left nostril and breathe only through the right. Finish the exercise by breathing through both nostrils as usual.
