If you play sports, you are probably familiar with such a common injury to athletes as a muscle or tendon strain. With a slight stretch, you can use an elastic bandage to normalize the tendon and eliminate the stretch. But first, it's still worth making sure if you have something more serious than a simple dislocation.

elastic bandage

Instructions

Step 1

Take a comfortable position so that all muscles are relaxed, the injured tendon is not in tension.

Step 2

Hold one end of the bandage between your toes and ankle with your hand. With the other hand, at this time, make a couple of turns, towards the instep from the foot. Please note that the bandage must be applied layer on layer, about a quarter of the entire width.

Step 3

Lock the ankle so that the heel is not under the elastic band. To do this, wrap the bandage with the number “8” around the leg.

Step 4

In a criss-cross pattern, continue to wrap the bandage around your leg towards the knee.

Step 5

Fasten the bandage with Velcro, a plaster or a metal clip, it all depends on which retainer you have at hand. If there are none at all, you can easily do without them - just gently wrap the end of the bandage inward, after straightening it. The only drawback of this fastening is that when walking or in direct contact with clothing, the bandage can open. To prevent this from happening, find an alternative, for example, sew Velcro to the bandage yourself. It won't take long, but you will feel much more confident. Make sure that you are comfortable with this type of bandage.
