Swimming is one of the most popular sports. If only because many people know how to swim, and there are more than enough people who want to splash in the pool. However, it is one thing to swim for your own pleasure, and another thing to do this sport seriously, counting on a high level and prestigious awards.
Instructions
Step 1
You can get a youth or mass category (up to the second), simply by signing up for the section and completing a number of swimming standards. The time and duration of the swim depends on the swimming style. Refer to your coach or the AHL tables to find out what standards you need to meet in order to get the third or second category.
Step 2
These ranks can be obtained without fulfilling the standards if you have won an intra-section or intersection competition in an individual swim or in a team event.
Step 3
The first category can be obtained only in two cases: - if your section has the right to assign categories higher than the second (based on the passed standards);
- if you have shown the results necessary to obtain this category, at district or city competitions.
Step 4
The title of Candidate Master of Sports (CCM) is even more difficult to obtain. Here, the standards alone are clearly not enough, although they must be passed without fail. To do this, it is necessary to show approximately the same results at competitions with a rank not lower than city ones (to confirm the delivery of the standards).
Step 5
You can become a Master of Sports (MS) if you not only passed all the standards, but also showed the appropriate results at official regional competitions (or, for example, at the Championship of Moscow or St. Petersburg). In addition, there are other conditions: - electronic timekeeping system;
- the panel of judges must have at least 3 judges of VK (all-Russian category).
Step 6
The title of International Master of Sports (MSMK) is awarded to athletes who have taken part in competitions of a European or world scale (championships, Student or Olympic Games) and ranked from 1 to 8 (for a 25-meter pool - from 1 to 6).
Step 7
The title of Honored Master of Sports (ZMS) is awarded to the winners of major international competitions.
