As a protection for the hands during punches in boxing, a boxing bandage is often used, which is wound under gloves. If you do not have special polyester bandages, use a regular elastic bandage available from the pharmacy. You can wind a boxing bandage in the following way.

It is necessary

  • - boxing bandage;
  • - elastic bandage 2.5 meters long.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the bandage for wrapping. Roll it into a tight roll as follows: unfold it completely with the Velcro hooks down and start winding. Twist the hook band first, then the fabric of the bandage, be careful not to catch the Velcro. Tighten the bandage into a roll and secure it with the thumb loop.

Step 2

If your bandage has a loop, straighten it so that there is no twisting, and put it on your thumb, while directing the roll to the back of your hand. To wind the elastic bandage, also make a loop: wrap your finger and press the tip with the main canvas.

Step 3

Next, remove the bandage on the wrist and wrap it 2-3 times. Do not wrap the bandage too tightly to allow blood to flow freely to your fingers. On the contrary, too little winding will not do any good - try to determine the winding density empirically.

Step 4

Start wrapping the bandage around your fingers - first on your index finger, then on the middle, ring and little fingers. You can start with the little finger - try it and find out which is more convenient for you. If you haven't gotten a kick yet, make an extra loop on your thumb to lock it in and protect against the possibility of a dislocation. Make sure that there are no twists of the bandage - it should always lie flat.

Step 5

To wrap your finger, pull the bandage out from behind your wrist and from the back of your hand, slide it toward your finger. Wrap the bandage around your finger and move back to your wrist on the other side. Run the bale from the inside of your wrist and start wrapping your next finger. If done correctly, the bulk of the bandage will be wrapped around the outside, protecting the knuckles.

Step 6

Next, make 2-3 turns around the knuckles, wrap the rest of the bandage around the wrist. Fix the boxing bandage with Velcro, and put the tip of the elastic under the tightly stretched canvas.
