The hoop is one of the objects in rhythmic gymnastics that can be decorated on your own, while giving the gymnast's leotard a harmonious addition. In addition, winding the hoop significantly reduces deformation and becomes more rigid.
Instructions
Step 1
You can use self-adhesive tape (oracal) or even wrapping paper for wrapping the hoop. The oracle is better because it is already on an adhesive basis, therefore, it will be more convenient and faster for them to wrap the hoop.
Step 2
Cut the oracle into strips. The material on the back is already marked, this will greatly facilitate your work.
Step 3
Choose the width of the strips in a practical way. But it should not exceed two centimeters, since the winding will be difficult due to the appearance of small folds. Better stop at one centimeter.
Step 4
Select the length of the strips so that there are no problems during winding due to the throwing of its free part through your hoop. It will be most convenient if the length does not exceed 1.5 centimeters.
Step 5
Now go directly to the winding. There is nothing difficult here, you just need to fill your hand a little. Take the cut strip and peel off the sticky part from the backing paper.
Step 6
Take your hoop and lay the finished strip at an angle to the body of the object, while holding it with your thumb.
Step 7
With your free hand, start wrapping the arc of the hoop, while maintaining the angle you choose. Overlap the previous strip by half and pull the tape so that there are no folds and air gaps. If, nevertheless, layers and folds have formed, then rewind the strip back and re-glue it.
Step 8
When you have fully glued the base, go in for additional edging. It all depends solely on your imagination. You can cut stylized flames, regular stripes, or any transitions and intricate patterns from the film of a different color.
Step 9
Be sure to wrap the additional edging with transparent stationery tape, since it is it that tends to peel off more often than the main layer of the winding.
