Any winter equipment should be carefully prepared before use, but this is especially true for hunting skis. They help you navigate the snow faster and easier. It is very important not only to choose the right skis themselves in terms of material and size, but also to correctly fix the mounts.

Instructions
Step 1
When installing ski bindings, remember that they must firmly hold any footwear, be it boots, felt boots, boots, high fur boots. At the same time, ski control should be carried out easily, and in case of a fall, a person should easily release the foot from the fasteners. You will need to practice well at home to achieve a strong hold at the same time and easy release from the ski when needed. In cold, snowy weather, you won't have time to study ski construction.
Step 2
Ski bindings are of different types: simple, soft and semi-rigid. There are also rigid mounts, but in this case, the boot is screwed to the ski, which is not suitable for hunting skis. Therefore, which type of fasteners to choose from the first three depends only on you. If possible, try different types of fasteners and choose the one that works best for you. The simple attachment is a strap made from leather, tarpaulin, or other durable materials. It is refueled from both sides into the slots of the ski support platform. A foot in the shoe is simply inserted into the resulting loop, further tightened if necessary, and the ends are fixed in the side grooves. Step 4
Soft mounts differ from simple ones in that they have an additional strap. Insert your leg into the main loop, and wrap the other strap around the back of the leg, slightly above the heel. Fasten the strap so that it does not fall off the heel and holds the ski well.
Step 5
With a semi-rigid mount, special metal plates are made instead of the main hinge. Place the boot on them and fix it on top with a sling. Instead of a rear strap, a metal spring cable is used. Pull it to the desired length using the built-in lever, and then lock it in front of the plates at the toe of the boot.
