It is impossible to ride alpine skis without bindings, moreover, bindings are often sold complete with skis. But it is not always possible to install them right away in a store or in a workshop. Either there was no money, or time. Do not despair - it is quite possible to install the bindings on the skis yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the base of your boot. To do this, consider the area of the heel - the base value is usually written there in millimeters.
Step 2
In order to assemble the mount itself, take its head, and then connect it to the plate. It is necessary to connect the head to the plate in such a way that the value is as close as possible to the value of the base of the ski boot. Attach the plate to the heel in the same way. The mounts are assembled and ready for installation. Find a place in the apartment where there is a sufficiently large free horizontal surface with the ability to support the toe. Place the toe of the ski at a stop, and then insert the assembled bindings into the landing slots of the skis, moving from the heel of the ski to its toe. Fix the inserted fasteners with bolts.
Step 3
Insert the boot into the bindings to adjust the skis. Check the alignment of your boot with the ski. The boot should be absolutely parallel to the surface of the ski. If not yet, then adjust the binding by adjusting the lower heel screw. Open the force table and set the desired value to trigger the emergency quilting fastening. Emergency quilting can be adjusted in different ways, depending on your riding style and what you want from your skis.
Step 4
If you're just starting out, adjust the force the same for both toe and heel. Once you have your own riding technique, you can experiment with adjusting the effort. Keep in mind that when you install the bindings yourself, you can also slightly vary the ratio of the center of the boot to the center of the ski, which will allow you to change the characteristics of the skis.
Step 5
Of course, you can install the bindings on your own, but you will spend at least an hour and a half on this, and if you have never installed ski bindings before, it is not a fact that it is of high quality. Exercise special care when marking the skis: correct marking - 90% success when installing bindings.
