The leotard determines the appearance of the gymnast and influences the perception of the judges, and therefore the assessment of the performance. At the same time, the swimsuit must fit exactly to the figure and not restrict movement, so that the athlete does not have to fight with it when performing complex elements. Sewing a leotard for rhythmic gymnastics is divided into several stages.
Instructions
Step 1
Sketch the dress. Mark the location of rhinestones and other decorations, think over the pattern of the swimsuit.
Step 2
Cut out the details of the leotard from the mesh: back, front, two lower details. When measuring, take into account the following parameters: neck circumference, armhole, bust and under bust, waist circumference, height from neck to waist, from waist to mid-groin. When cutting parts, make seam allowances.
Step 3
Cut out similar pieces from the main fabric (stretch satin, other stretch fabric). Keep in mind that it is advisable to open the mesh in places, so make only a partial repetition of the mesh pattern from it.
Step 4
Fold in the edges of the base fabric and baste to the mesh. Stitch on a typewriter.
Step 5
Sweep mesh and base fabric, try on. If everything is in order, sew on a typewriter.
Step 6
Glue the rhinestones with special glue, hang the swimsuit and wait until the glue is completely dry. Add the rest of the decorations.
