In addition to the Olympic Games and the Ice Hockey World Championships, fans of one of the most popular sports are eagerly awaiting the next Youth Ice Hockey World Championship. As usual, high hopes are pinned on Russian young hockey players.
Traditionally, the Youth World Ice Hockey Championships begin shortly before the New Year. In the 2014-2015 season, Canada was honored to host the world's most talented young hockey players.
The hockey battles will begin on December 26th in two hockey cities in Canada - Toronto and Montreal. The games will take place at two of Canada's famous ice hockey arenas - Bell Center (Montreal Canadiens arena), which seats over 21,000 spectators, and Air Canada Center (Toronto Maple Leafs), which can seat about 19,700 fans.
The Russian national team was in group B. The rivals of the Russians will be young hockey players from the Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark and Switzerland. The Russian youth ice hockey team will play their first match on December 26 in Toronto. The rivals of the Russians will be the young hockey players of the Danish national team. The final match in the group stage will be played by the Russian national team against the Czech Republic on December 31st. The match will also take place in Toronto.
The last day of the Youth Ice Hockey World Championship will be January 5th. It is on this date that the final match is scheduled at the Air Canada Center in Toronto.
