Russian fans treat such championships with special trepidation, because our country is known all over the world for its renowned hockey school, which gives the world new hockey talents every year.

World Youth Championships are held annually during the New Year period. The upcoming world championship will be the fortieth competition for hockey players under twenty years old.

The Ice Hockey World Championship among youth teams starts on December 26, 2015 in the capital of Finland. The end of the tournament is scheduled for January 5, 2016. The world championship matches will be held in two ice rinks in Helsinki: the Hartwall Arena (the main arena of the tournament) and the Helsinki Ice Hall (an ice rink with a slightly smaller capacity).

The world championship will open with a match between the national teams of Russia and the Czech Republic. This game will take place on December 26 at 15:00 Moscow time. It is worth recalling that the Russian national team in the group stage will also have to meet with the youth teams of Finland, Slovakia and Belarus. Valery Bragin's wards will perform in Group B.

According to the tournament regulations, only four out of five teams will continue to fight for the title of world champions among youth teams. The group stage is followed by the playoff stage, starting with the quarterfinals.
