The recent victories of the Russian national team at the world championships and the rather strong Kontinental Hockey League tournament have increased the popularity of ice hockey. Many boys have a dream - to become a hockey player. For it to be realized, it is necessary to enroll in a specialized children's and youth sports school and work in full force in training.

It is necessary

  • - birth certificate;
  • - health certificate;
  • - hockey ammunition (uniform, helmet, skates, stick).

Instructions

Step 1

Find, preferably near your home, a kids' backyard club or hockey court where you can learn how to ice skate and use a stick and puck. Or immediately find out the address and phone number of the children's and youth sports school (CYSS) at a professional hockey club. You can practice in it in more comfortable conditions under the guidance of an experienced trainer with a special education, as well as under the supervision of a doctor.

Step 2

Teach your child to skate in advance, including backwards. For example, in a figure skating school, which is recruited earlier than others, at the age of three. This skill, along with general physical development, game thinking and strong character, is a prerequisite for admission to the hockey youth sports school.

Step 3

Visit a health center and get examined by a pediatrician, ophthalmologist, physical therapist and other necessary doctors. Contraindications to playing hockey are, for example, serious problems with vision and hearing, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and nervous system, and others that doctors will tell you about.

Step 4

Before purchasing the necessary training equipment, including protective gear, skates, helmets, clubs and much more, consult with experts, former or current players. It is better to buy a uniform in specialized stores at the ice hockey federation or directly in a sports club.

Step 5

Show your family to school on enrollment day. Meet and talk to a coach who should also form an opinion about you. In addition, find out its requirements for future hockey players, features of the sports regimen, nutrition and recovery. Check the training schedule, exchange phone numbers. If possible, chat with your son's teammates and their parents.
