The visual-motor reaction of a person, like any other of his abilities, can be subject to development. To do this, you need to know the methods of training the reaction and, of course, apply them.
Instructions
Step 1
Ask your friend to play a game with you. It is very simple, but at the same time it develops the reaction speed very effectively. The rules of the game are as follows: ask your comrade to keep the palm straight at you, your task is to hit your comrade with blows, and in the meantime, his task is to remove his hand at the moment you strike.
Step 2
Hit the palm as hard and unexpectedly for your friend as you can, confuse him with pauses and glances past his eyes and palm. Thus, the speed of reaction in such a simple but intense game will develop. Then switch roles - now you hold your palm and take it away from your comrade's blows. To complicate the task, you can move your palm in a vertical plane, but at the same time observe safety precautions - move away from each other at such a distance that the batter's hand does not reach the face holding the palm.
Step 3
Practice any magic tricks with sleight of hand. The process of such training develops the speed of reaction well. Start with juggling - several objects flying in front of your eyes will constantly require you to deftly catch them and immediately toss them again. A person with a bad reaction will not be able to cope with this right away, and as you successfully complete this task, you will see that your reaction has become much better. In addition, juggling develops motor coordination well.
Step 4
Search on the Internet and install a special program on your computer to develop the reaction. For example, one of such programs is Effecton Studio 2005, which is able to estimate the speed and dispersion of a simple visual-motor reaction, the speed of a complex visual-motor reaction, the speed of an audio-motor reaction, the time of reaction to a moving object, and so on. Track your progress using the program estimates.
