The competition of creative teams was announced by the organizing committee of Sochi-2014 back in 2012. Since then, organizers have received thousands of applications. Schoolchildren, students, professional ensembles and creative associations want to please spectators and participants of the Sochi Olympics with their talents. Anyone can send an application for participation in the qualifying round.
Who organizes the competition?
The competition of creative teams that will be able to take part in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi is organized by a special committee. Its employees developed a regulation on the competition, which spelled out the rules of the competition. The first round - the processing of applications - has already been completed. The teams that were admitted to the second stage, the preview, were selected and notified about it. Now the stage is already coming to an end, the final round will soon begin - the selection of creative teams for participation in the Olympic Games.
What do you need to participate in the viewing?
The teams that are admitted to the competitive viewing must submit a video of the number to the jury. It can be sent to the organizing committee by e-mail. Her address can be found in the letter that was sent to all participants admitted to the second round. You can also specify the address by calling the reference phone: +7 (800) 100 2014. Information there can be obtained on weekdays from 9-00 to 18-00.
In addition to the video, you need to send a small questionnaire to the jury. In it, indicate the number assigned to the collective or individual performer, the genre of the performance and its duration. The contact phone number and e-mail address are also indicated in the questionnaire.
How to qualify and win?
The final stage - selection - will take place in autumn and winter 2013. All teams that have passed the preliminary stages will receive an invitation to audition to the organizing committee in Moscow or to its branch in Sochi. During the audition, applicants will present their number. The maximum chance to win at this stage will be for those who have the number ready in full - all costumes, phonograms, props must be in stock. In addition, the performance should be original and fit into the general theme of the opening ceremony and other entertainment events planned for the games. Participants who successfully completed this round will be included in the event script, they will be admitted to the rehearsal of the opening of the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
If your team has not passed the last stage, do not despair. It is planned to conduct an additional selection among the best teams that were not included in the lists of the lucky ones. From among these, groups will be selected to take part in the events held on the occasion of the Paralympic Games, which will be held from 07-16 March 2014.
