Toe loop (from the English two loop) is considered to be one of the simplest jumps in figure skating. Most often, the sheepskin coat is performed with the second jump in the jump cascades.

Instructions

Step 1

In figure skating, many jumps are performed from one edge to the other, and in some of them, the teeth of the skates are used. Just such jumps include a sheepskin coat, which is called a jump with a light jerk with a tooth.

So, you need to do the following. Try to slide back and forth, then turn your shoulders, trying to push against the ice with the toe of your free leg. Then continue to turn and jump in such a way as to land on the edge back-out. The left toe should hit the ice very smoothly with little or no stopping.

Step 2

In order to better understand the technique of performing a jump, try to imagine that you are doing a waltz jump from a toe. Also, before making the jump, turn your head more towards the left shoulder.

If we talk about possible errors, then they are basically the same as in other jumps, although there is one that is worth mentioning separately. During the jump itself, you need to make sure that the toe is directed exactly downward, otherwise, it will not crash into the ice cover, and you risk falling.

Step 3

To get on the back-out edge, try doing the inside three before jumping (it's actually not that hard). Such a triple is performed in about the same way as forward-outward, namely: ready position, reversal and control. If the jump is made counterclockwise, then the first position should be on the edge forward-inward, then very strongly unwind the shoulders and arms counterclockwise and make a three-point turn.

Note that your free leg at the same time should go around the support leg in a wide enough radius so that you can land in the starting position. If you immediately start doing a three, then immediately before the push there will be a very small pause (or it will not be at all), and then the whole combination will look very smooth and harmonious.
