Hockey is an amazing game that requires certain skills and abilities. Finally, you have got hold of the puck, and the opponent's goal is not far away. This is where the question arises, how to throw the puck so as to hit the target. Decide what type of throw you will perform, which one suits you in a given situation.
Instructions
Step 1
Long Acceleration Shot Take the starting position: stand half-turn towards the direction of the shot. Legs should be shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Place the puck in the middle of the hook, with the hook just slightly overlapping the side of the washer. Shift your body weight from the leg that is slightly behind to the leg in front. Turn your torso in the direction that you will throw the puck. Push the puck onto the toe of the hook and push. The puck gains acceleration thanks to the accelerating movement of the arms and stick. With such an impact, the puck will accelerate to about 80 cm. During the impact, give the puck maximum speed and set the desired direction of flight. After the hit, the hook continues to follow the puck. This is necessary to complete the shot and not to lose the chosen direction of flight of the puck.
Step 2
Short Acceleration Shot: Take a pose as you would with a Long Acceleration Shot. But in this case, the puck should be slightly in front of you. Hit the puck in the direction of the target. The maximum flight speed of the puck in this case is given with the help of multidirectional and rotational movement of the hands. In this case, the legs and body do not play a special role and do not affect the puck's flight speed.
Step 3
Toss from the awkward side Return to the original state. The torso should be positioned sideways towards the target. Make sure that the puck is in the middle of the hook of the club. Make sure that when throwing, the "lower" hand pulls the stick with it, pushing it in front of you. Such a throw is not easy to perform, because you are in a lateral position to the goal. But, having mastered it, you will have many new opportunities to hit the target.
Step 4
Learn what the blows are. Typically, a strike includes three phases: swing, strike, and post-strike action.
Step 5
Pay attention to this type of blow, such as a hit-throw. The main task falls on the overwhelming movement of the hands. Such a blow does not require much time to prepare, which is very convenient during the game.
Step 6
An interesting type of throw is throwing the puck. Such a throw is used if there is an obstacle in the path of the puck: a stick, a down player.
Step 7
Stand half-turn towards the puck. The legs are bent at the knees. Strike the puck with a rotating motion of your hands. The flight height of the puck will determine the angle of the club at which the shot was made.
