The Integration Foundation, together with the News Effector agency, conducted a survey among the residents of the CIS on the topic “The most beautiful sportswoman of the 2012 Olympics”. Over 17,000 people took part in this survey.

As a result, Russian woman Karolina Sevastyanova, who won the gold medal in the group all-around in rhythmic gymnastics, was recognized as the most beautiful athlete. Runner Ksenia Vdovina lost a little bit to her. The renowned tennis player Maria Sharapova was in third place. Who knows, if Maria had managed to defeat the equally famous American Williams in the final duel, then, perhaps, the audience would have put her on a higher place.

Legendary pole vaulter Elena Isimbayeva, who won bronze in London, became the fourth. Anna Alyabyeva, a citizen of Kazakhstan, who competed in rhythmic gymnastics, rounded out the honorable top five. One step below her was her colleague in sports - Ulyana Trofimova, who played for the national team of Uzbekistan. The courage and resilience of this athlete deserves admiration and the kindest words, because she performed, having just healed her leg after a fracture received in training shortly before the Olympics!

The seventh place was taken by Aleksandra Gerasimenya, a Belarusian swimmer. Performing in London, she won two silver medals. Eighth place went to Ukrainian triathlete Yulia Evstratova. In ninth place, the audience put our gymnast Aliya Mustafina, who performed brilliantly in London, she won gold, silver and two bronze medals there.

And the Ukrainian Victoria Rybalko rounded out this honorable ten beauties of the CIS. True, she could not win a single medal in London, but in the eyes of the audience she did not become less charming from this.
