First, take a look at the diagram of the average ski jump. Part A is visible on it - acceleration. It should be cool enough and well rolled. To roll it well, just slide down it with a crowd of skiers. Remove bumps and pits with a shovel

Step 2

Part B - springboard table. Kicker E is installed on it. In front of the kicker, there must be a gentle section, so that when entering it, strong blows to the skater's legs do not occur and the momentum necessary for a good jump is not lost. Pay special attention to this point!

Step 3

Part D is the transit part, which the skier, as a rule, flies over. Its dimensions depend on the terrain and the skill level of the skier. The training transit should not be more than 4-7 m. Part C is for landing. Perform it with a sufficient incline so that the gained speed is well absorbed. After the slope, be sure to provide for a rollout - the place where you should brake.

Step 4

To create the kicker itself from dense snow, cut out medium-sized snow blocks with a shovel and build from them a figure of the desired size and shape. When building, periodically compact the snow. If there is little snow, use the materials at hand - stumps, branches, stones. Cover it all with snow and compact it.

Step 5

Take a look at a sample kicker diagram. The length of part L must be at least 2.5 meters, the height of part H must be at least 1 meter. Width A of the kicker - the larger the better, but not less than 1 meter. Do not be lazy: it is better to dig an extra hour than to experience the chagrin of unsuccessful jumps

Step 6

The kicker radius is chosen empirically. If the size of the entire springboard is very large, rounding is only necessary where the table goes into the kicker. The smaller the springboard, the greater the need for rounding the kicker. However, an overly pronounced kicker radius will constantly throw the rider into a coup.
