Your safety during descents and ascents, as well as your health, depends entirely on the correct installation of the bindings on your skis. Not everyone can properly install the ski mount. This is due to one important problem - determining the center of gravity of the skis, on which your comfort in skiing depends.
Instructions
Step 1
Be aware that modern ski bindings are generally classified as soft, rigid, and semi-rigid. However, no matter what kind of mount you choose, it is important to accurately and correctly determine the center of gravity of the skis for installing this very mount. It is not worth choosing soft mounts, they are not stable and for a beginner skier will be very problematic when riding. Such fasteners are practically not used at the present time. Skiers try to give their preference to more successful, proven and reliable rigid or semi-rigid bindings.
Step 2
Take your skis alternately, first one, then the other. Flip the ski over with the slide side up.
Place a knife or other pointed object, such as a ruler, on a flat surface, holding it with your hand. Place a ski on the edge of your object.
Step 3
Gradually move the ski or the edge under it so that in the end it takes a position of balance, that is, the ski should be horizontal and not touch any of the sides to the floor.
Step 4
Mark with a pen, pencil or knife the place of balance found on the front (opposite to the sliding) side of the ski in the form of a drawn line or point.
Step 5
The center of gravity of one ski is determined. Do all of the above with the second ski.
After determining the center of gravity, proceed to the next step - the installation of the mount itself, for which this very center of gravity was located.
Step 6
Attach the mount according to the marked center of gravity. Mark with a pencil the places to install the mount, install them.
All is ready. Ride with pleasure and enjoy wonderful moments.
