This is the most common but slowest style. It is often used by ordinary people, because it is the breaststroke that allows you to overcome long distances on the water and not get tired. It also allows you to view the space above the water.

To swim breaststroke, you need to simultaneously stroke with both hands, and work with your legs in a horizontal plane. Many keep their heads above the water, but athletes work diving with their arms extended forward.

The youngest and most complex style that emerged in 1935. Learning to swim with a butterfly takes a lot of time and stamina. The swimmer makes swings with both arms and wave-like kicks. When swinging, the upper part of the athlete's body rises above the water.

When teaching this style, wave-like movements of the legs are practiced, only after that the hands are connected.

This method is similar to a crawl, the only difference is that the swimmer performs the movements while on his back. It is important to monitor your breathing, it should be calm and even, inhale over water, exhale into water. Professionals advise you to learn to swim on your back only after you have mastered the crawl style.
