The famous expression "Oh, sport, you are the world!" has long been turned into the opposite - "Oh, world, you are a sport." Unfortunately, with all the desire, no one succeeds in separating sports and politics, especially when it comes to the world's main sports competitions - the Olympic Games.

Why are Chinese people unhappy with Olympic refereeing?

Despite the fact that the Chinese stubbornly hold on to the leaders of the standings in terms of the number of medals, either overtaking the United States or again yielding first place, Chinese athletes have more than once expressed their dissatisfaction with refereeing at major world competitions.

It all started with the disqualification of Chinese, South Korean and Indonesian badminton players. According to experts, the girls played fixed matches in order to meet with weaker opponents in subsequent games. With reluctance, the Chinese athletes and fans accepted the news. However, the situation worsened further.

Swimmer Ye Shiven is only 16 years old, but at the London Olympics she showed fantastic results and managed to win two gold medals. Extremely interested in phenomenal talents, doctors took the girl's tests for the presence of doping and … did not find any traces of it. Nevertheless, no apologies were made to the girl, in addition, unpleasant conversations around Ye's amazing results continue to walk, which, of course, is unpleasant for both the youngest athlete and all Chinese fans.

A few days later, the cyclists from China won the race. Nevertheless, for some unknown reason, their result was canceled, and instead of gold, the girls received silver. The athletes filed an appeal, but it was not just rejected, but also punished the athletes with a fine of 200 euros for trying to interfere with the work of the judges. The representatives of China did not see any reasons for such a decision on the video replay, they refused to pay the fine and filed a complaint with the UCI.

The Chinese public, the media, bloggers and the authorities are unanimous in the opinion that at the current Olympics there is a conspiracy against the athletes from the Middle Kingdom, and they are not going to back down.
