Choosing what type of physical activity to do, it would be good for a person to think about what, in fact, his body lacks in its everyday reality. If a person is engaged in physical labor at the main job, then most likely he will not think about additionally loading his body in his free time. And if a person is engaged in intellectual work and works at a computer, then he should think about what kind of load the body still needs to give.
Modern man spends a lot of time in a sitting position. We usually sit at the computer, at home and at work, when we go on business, in a private car and public transport. When it's time for the weekend, the body also rarely gets the work it needs. We either watch a movie, or go to a cafe and visit, where we sit at the table. All this is wonderful. From the point of view that the struggle for survival has drastically reduced its pace and we no longer need to constantly run somewhere and strain too much. But is this amount of movement enough for our body to stay in good shape? No, definitely not enough!
Similar difficulties with a lack of physical movement were experienced by the sages of antiquity, who meditated for several hours in a row in the same motionless posture. And Kriya Yoga came to their aid. Kriya Yoga is a dynamic practice in which movements are selected in a specific sequence. It should be noted that these kriyas are selected in such a way that all major muscle groups are involved in one session.
During the practice of kriya yoga, we work on those muscles that are not used in our normal life, but, nevertheless, they must be in good shape to allow the body to remain healthy for a long time.
So we decided that kriya yoga is what we need. Where do you start? Ideally, start by signing up for a yoga center. An experienced teacher will show you how to practice Kriya Yoga.
Please note that for beginners, there are options for performing kriyas in which the set of exercises is the same, but they are performed in less time. But even if you find yourself in a mixed group, where beginners and practitioners with experience are engaged, then you can regulate the load yourself. In yoga, the principle of harmony and non-violence is important. An experienced yoga instructor will definitely tell you about this.
