Each country has the right to represent three applicants in all categories: men's and women's singles, pair skating and ice dancing. But this opportunity will most likely be used only by Russia, the United States and China. Russia is traditionally strong in all categories and will only fight for all prizes.
However, figure skating fans in Russia will be a little disappointed. Sochi 2014 Olympics favorites: Adelina Sotnikova and Yulia Lipnitskaya will not participate in the competition.
