Biography of Fedor Emelianenko
The eldest of the brothers, Fedor, was born in 1976 in the city of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. Two years later, his family moved to Russia, staying in the town of Stary Oskol, Belgorod Region. At the age of 10, young Fedya became seriously interested in sambo and judo. In 1987, Vladimir Voronov took over to train him. From 1991 to 1995, Emelianenko Sr. studied at a school, after which he was drafted into the army, serving in the fire brigade and tank forces.
All this time, Fedor did not stop playing sports, but due to the lack of time, training was mostly limited to strength exercises. The young man worked hard with weights, lifted the barbell, and also made marches on duty. All this led to the fact that he returned home with sufficient dimensions to qualify as a heavyweight athlete. He resumed martial arts training and began to enter the ring.
Fedor won the international judo tournament in Kursk, becoming a master of sports in this kind of martial arts. After that, Fedor took first place at the international sambo tournament in Moscow, and he was awarded the title of international master of sports. In 1999, as part of the Russian sambo team, he won a gold medal at the European Team Championship held in Istanbul. After that, the champion began to actively study boxing techniques, expressing a desire to participate in MMA championships - mixed martial arts.
Emelianenko Sr.was married twice, and in 2007, before the conclusion of a second marriage with his companion Marina, he had a daughter. Later, Fedor divorced and returned to his first beloved Oksana, who in 2015 gave birth to another daughter. He is currently the President of the Russian MMA Mixed Martial Arts Union.
Career in MMA
From 2000 to 2010, Fedor Emelianenko took an active part in international MMA competitions on behalf of the following sports associations:
- Pride FC;
- RINGS;
- WAMMA.
During this period, he was recognized four times as world champion in mixed martial arts in the heavyweight division by Pride FC and twice by RINGS and WAMMA. In addition, he is a four-time world champion and nine-time Russian champion in combat sambo. Fedor managed to defeat more than 30 athletes with champion titles in the ring, and was defeated only four times. Emelianenko managed to "lay down" only such athletes as:

Famous fights of Fedor Emelianenko
The fight with Tsuyoshi Kosaka, which took place in 2000, became one of the first in the champion's career of Fedor Emelianenko under the auspices of the RINGS association. Despite the fact that the Japanese made a prohibited trick - he cut the Russian athlete's eyebrow with his elbow, the judges still awarded him a victory. Five years later, the long-awaited revenge took place, in which Fedor won a lost victory with the help of the same blows to the face. It was a beautiful technical knockout in the first round.
In 2007, the fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Lindland took place. During this period, the closest attention of Russian and foreign fans of mixed martial arts was riveted to Fedor's career. The match was attended by many guests of honor, including:

The Russian athlete prepared for this meeting with full dedication, knowing about the excellent technique and strength of the American's punches. Through training, he was able to inflict crushing force on his opponent's leg, as well as cut his lip. Monson began to get tired and miss punches. As a result, Fedor won on points.
Fights with Antonio Silva and Dan Henderson were not so successful. In the first of them, the large Brazilian turned out to be unexpectedly agile and managed to put Emelianenko on his shoulder blades, ending the fight with a series of powerful blows. Fedor did not lose consciousness, but received a severe eye injury, in connection with which the meeting was officially ended in favor of the opponent. In the fight with Dan Henderson, the Russian got the same hard. After being defeated, Emelianenko admitted that the reason for this was not too intensive training and the wrong tactics. Soon Fedor officially ended his sports career and began to build a political one.
Biography and achievements of Alexander Emelianenko
The youngest of the brothers, Alexander, was born in 1981 in the city of Stary Oskol. He began to engage in martial arts at the same time as his older brother, who took him with him to training. Having received a higher education in economics in 2003, Alexander moved to St. Petersburg. Like his brother, he is a multiple world and European champion in sambo and combat sambo, a master of sports in sambo and judo.
From 2003 to 2012, the younger Emelianenko actively participated in MMA competitions under the auspices of the Pride Fighting Championships, M-1 Global and other international sports associations. During this time, the fighter won 24 victories, 17 of which by technical knockout. Alexander has larger dimensions compared to his older brother (192 cm and about 100 kg versus 183 cm and about 90 kg in height and weight). Active training allowed him to significantly increase the power of the blow, which made him think about his future career in boxing.
Alexander's plans did not come true. The binge lifestyle led to several administrative violations, which played a negative role in his sports career. And in 2014, Alexander was found guilty of raping and beating a 26-year-old housekeeper. On May 19, 2015, the Simonovsky Court of Moscow imposed a punishment in the form of 4, 5 years in prison and a fine of 50 thousand rubles. On November 24, 2016, Alexander Emelianenko was released, having decided to devote himself to family life in the future (marriage with Russian woman Polina Seledtsova was concluded while serving time in a general regime colony).
