Childhood and adolescence of Andriy Shevchenko
Shevchenko was born on September 29, 1976 in a village near Kiev called Dvorkovshchina. It was there that he first saw a soccer ball. Mom worked as a kindergarten teacher, and dad was a military man. At the time of the birth of his son, his father was in the service in Germany. After his arrival, the family moved to Kiev for permanent residence. Dad always wanted to see Andrei in the military. But the child had his favorite pastime. Shevchenko immediately fell in love with a soccer ball and disappeared for hours on the field.
Having gone to school, Andrei enrolled in the section. The school team often participated in regional tournaments. At one of these young talent scouts noticed Dynamo Kiev. This is how, at the age of 9, he began to study in a great club.
Shevchenko's football career
