Childhood and adolescence of Alexander Gusev
The future famous hockey player was born in 1947 in Moscow. His father played one of the instruments in the Alexandrov Song and Dance Ensemble. It was he who was the first to give skates to his little son. Alexander received such a gift for his birthday at the age of four. From that moment on, he fell in love with hockey for life.
At first, his grandparents were engaged in his upbringing, who took the boy to classes in the sports section. At the age of ten, Alexander Gusev went to enroll in the CSKA hockey school, but could not pass the screening. Then his mother came to his aid. She worked as an accountant at CSKA and knew all the coaches by sight. Therefore, she easily arranged for her son in an army school.
Then Alexander moved from one hockey school to another. In his career, there were classes in Wings of the Soviets, Spartak, Dynamo, but he finished his hockey education, the future storm of the attackers, it was in the army.

Alexander Gusev played in a pair of defenders along with Valery Vasiliev. They were the defensive link of one of the best fives in the history of Soviet hockey with strikers Kharlamov, Petrov and Mikhailov. It was in this composition that the players played in the USSR national team.
