Over the years of preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Sochi has changed beyond recognition. The grandiose Olympic venues, which will soon host the world's best athletes and thousands of spectators, are still empty. Nevertheless, every Russian already today has the opportunity to see this sporting splendor with his own eyes. And this can be done completely free of charge - within the framework of the 2014 Steps to Sochi project.
“2014 Steps to Sochi” is a grandiose action held by the Russian Ministry of Sports on the eve of the Sochi Olympics. The main objectives of the project are to promote a healthy lifestyle and involve various categories of the population in regular sports. The main prize is a trip to Sochi for three days to get acquainted with the Olympic venues.
How do I get involved?
To become a member of the project, you just need to register on the RussiaSport website. Immediately after registration, you can start "taking steps", in other words, to receive points. Points are awarded by the site administration for various actions of the participants: posting copyright posts, photos and videos, administering sports groups, organizing and holding matches or tournaments, promoting the Sochi Olympic Games, etc.
Any citizen of the Russian Federation can become a participant in the project. At the same time, only adult participants can receive the main prize - a ticket to Sochi. Winners under the age of 18 will be awarded diplomas and gifts.
Winners and gifts
In total, 10 winners will be selected in three nominations:
Sprint nomination: 3 winners with 2014 points earlier than other participants.
"Maximum" nomination: 3 winners with the most points.
Activity category: 3 winners with 2014 points with the least number of actions.
Also among the winners will be one "public favorite", which has the highest reputation among all the participants in the project.
All winners will be awarded with commemorative diplomas and the main prize - an excursion trip to the Sochi Olympic venues from November 1 to December 1, 2013.
The gift voucher includes:
- travel along the route Moscow - Sochi - Moscow;
- residence;
- food;
- transfer between sports facilities;
- escort of 2 guards during excursions;
- medical insurance against accidents for the period of the trip.
The 2014 Steps to Sochi project was launched on August 10, 2013. All participants can compete for the main prize until October 31st.
