Ski bindings can be divided into two categories: rigid and semi-rigid. For the application of hard shoes, special shoes are required. By installing the semi-rigid ones, you can ski in normal shoes.

It is necessary

  • - skiing;
  • - a set of semi-rigid mountings;
  • - pencil;
  • - screwdriver;
  • - awl;
  • - drill;
  • - epoxy glue or BF glue.

Instructions

Step 1

Find the center of gravity of your ski. To do this, place the ski on the edge of a ruler or on a screwdriver and balance it. Mark the center of gravity of both skis by drawing lines with a pencil.

Step 2

Install the ski mount so that its front end is on the marked center of gravity line and its longitudinal axis of symmetry coincides with the axis of symmetry on the ski. Place the bracket under the plate. The set includes two brackets marked "L" and "PR" - each for its own plate.

Step 3

Holding the bracket with your hand, secure the plate to the ski using the screws provided with the bindings. Install the plate and bracket in the same way on the second ski.

Step 4

If your skis are plastic (or semi-plastic), first mark the holes with an awl before installing the semi-rigid bindings. Then drill the holes for the screws with a drill of the appropriate diameter. Fill them with epoxy glue or BF glue and only then install the fasteners.

Step 5

Place the belts on the installed plates. Adjust the buckles to the length of the straps for the size of your ski shoe.

Step 6

Install the cables to secure the shoes. To do this, insert the boot into the mount, put the spring on the back of the boot. Attach the cable to the side brackets. Place the lock bracket in an upright position.

Step 7

Place the spring on the lock bracket. Attach the ski lock with screws. Adjust the spring tension. Install the retaining cable on the second ski carrier in the same way.

Step 8

Check that the mounts are installed correctly. To do this, fasten the boot to the ski, take it by the top and lift it up with the ski. If the mount is installed correctly, the shoes will not pop out of it, the front of the ski will tilt down.
