It is necessary

  • - trainer;
  • - sparring partner;
  • - makiwars;
  • - gym;
  • - gloves;
  • - helmets.

Instructions

Step 1

Practice placing your hands on impact. At the first stage, follow the correct position of the hands. Many beginners initially start to train their punch incorrectly. Clench your fist as hard as possible and squeeze your thumb firmly. The fist should be in full contact with a flat surface. Strike with only the first two knuckles, not sliding over the surface. Extend your arm fully. This will give the blow precision and strength. Let your coach show you how to do this. Correct your mistakes.

Step 2

Hit the air for a while. Once you have learned how to hit correctly, practice hitting empty space. Many people underestimate the importance of this exercise. In fact, in many martial arts, it comes first. Measure out 30 meters. This will be your calculated distance. Put your hands in a firing position and start alternately making high-speed strikes. At the same time, accompany each hand strike with a step forward. Do the same backward movement. Perform only 4-5 tracks in this style.

Step 3

Work with a partner or coach. Now that you know how to hit the air quickly and correctly, it's time to incorporate makiwara into your training. Ask your mentor to wear one makiwara on each hand. First, apply a few quick blows to warm up. Then start moving, just like in the previous exercise. Hit 2-3 hits at a time, no more. Gradually increase your speed and strength. To do this, put your whole body into each blow.

Step 4

Apply high-speed strikes in sparring. Once you have learned the technique and speed of your strikes, it's time to practice them in real practice with a sparring partner. Put on boxing gloves and helmets. Perform the same task, inflicting 2-3 blows, but this time on the enemy. Also remember to defend when the enemy hits you. This alternate training will teach you to hit and defend quickly in a short time.
