First, master the basic skier stance: lean forward slightly, bend your knees and relax your muscles. This position will maintain balance and provide maneuverability.

Having chosen the most gentle slope, learn not to slide down on it - to do this, turn the skis to the upper edging, they will stick into the snow and stop sliding.

Also learn to turn on a flat surface in the "star" way: turn the skis in a circle 20 degrees for each step, and on the slope in the "bull" way, while the skis turn alternately on toes and on the heels until they are directed downward along the slope line.

Shus is the main way to go downhill. It is skiing straight down the slope in the skier's main stance. If the slope is uneven, react with your legs, keeping your upper body still and relaxed.

The most convenient way of braking is the plow. At the same time, the inner edges of the skis are forced into the snow until they come to a complete stop.

To climb the slope, master the well-known "ladder" technique.

To avoid injury, learn to fall: when falling sideways, avoid hitting your knees on the snow, try to roll after falling, never use sticks to stop.

Given that skiing is quite traumatic, it is much more competent to take lessons from a professional instructor and strictly follow his instructions.
