For many novice skiers, there is the problem of going downhill. Many are simply afraid to do this. Fear and ignorance can be easily dealt with by applying clear, tried-and-true guidelines for acquiring the skill.
It is necessary
- - Skis and poles;
- - mountain slopes.
Instructions
Step 1
Master, first of all, the technique of descent "ladder". It is very effective on steep slopes. If the snow is hard, then hit the slope with the outer edge of the ski. This technique is taught to most beginners.
Step 2
Use simultaneous travel if you are riding downhill tracks. To do this, bring both sticks forward and place them near the socks. Lean forward sharply, bend your legs and push off, then placing your other leg. Press hard on the sticks during this movement! Also, do not hold your hands at your hips, bring the sticks far back almost to failure. Many put the sticks very wide or lower their heads, looking at their feet. You should only always look ahead at the track. Be careful not to make these mistakes.
Step 3
Train yourself to run smoothly. It can be effectively used on a track that goes even further downhill. During its execution, it is enough only to vigorously push off with sticks to drive by inertia. At the same time, transfer your body weight to the forefoot.
Step 4
Practice simultaneous two-step strokes on rolled flat surfaces and on long slopes with poor glide. Do only one push with the sticks per two steps taken. After each push, push one leg forward slightly for stability.
Step 5
Ride the slides more often. Squat down, push one leg forward half a step. If you crouch very low and lean forward, your speed will increase. Relax your arms and lower them down. Gradually straighten up and lean forward in front of the foot.
Step 6
Practice going down small mountains first. Also master the correct posture with a gate, which can be made from two small branches. Place them in the middle of the hill. Crouch low to accurately drive between them. Many people enjoy doing this exercise.
Step 7
Follow all of the above techniques and your fear of the slope will go away. You can ski anywhere and anytime.
