In order for the rollers to last a long time and always remain in good condition, they need constant care. In addition to maintaining their appearance, you need to carefully monitor the mechanism that drives the wheels of the rollers and is ordinary bearings. Only if they are regularly lubricated can unwanted damage and wear be prevented.

It is necessary

  • - Bearing grease,
  • - Gasoline.

Instructions

Step 1

To lubricate the roller mechanism, you must first remove each wheel. The bearings themselves that drive the rollers are located inside the wheels. For lubrication and flushing, they must be taken out and disassembled, since without removing them, the process will be practically useless.

Step 2

The wheels and mechanism must be wiped from dirt. The inserts themselves are of two types. If they are collapsible, then cleaning will not be difficult, since they have a removable dust ring. Under it are some kind of balls, which need to be wiped and then lubricated. The ring itself can be removed without any problems with a knife or awl. In non-separable bearings, "anthers" are clogged in the groove of the cage. This complicates the lubrication process. Using a small knife, you need to remove one dustproof plate, clean the mechanism, and fix it in the wheel so that its open side looks into the roller. Since the inside of the surface is always relatively clean and it is usually protected, there will be no damage to the liner. It is better to flush with water with the addition of gasoline. Such a solution perfectly removes dirt and remaining unusable oils. Rinse thoroughly and then dry as much as possible.

Step 3

Of all the types of lubricants, plastic ones are most suitable for rollers - they have a lot of advantages over the rest. In particular, their service life and "squeezing" from the wheels is much longer. Kerosene and solid oil will not work, since such mixtures quickly erode and evaporate, as a result of which the mechanism wears out much faster. Bicycle lubricants work well, although they are significantly more expensive than roller counterparts.
