The technique of holding a pneumatic pistol is quite simple, but for some reason it is neglected by many young shooters. Let's look at the main points of the air pistol grip technique.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, remember the most important rule - do not press the pistol grip with force. The rule is very simple, but given this peculiarity of psychology, that the more dangerous the object, the more attention needs to be paid to it, you can continue to squeeze it, despite the fact that this is a basic mistake. The more you squeeze the pistol grip, the greater the amplitude of the hand shake. Make sure your hand is holding the pistol just enough to keep the pistol from falling out when firing.
Step 2
Now take the correct grip. To do this, hold the gun mainly with your middle finger, and slightly help it with your ring and little fingers. You will have your thumb on the other side of the handle. Pull it along the barrel of the gun and do not keep it straight. Keep your index finger on the trigger, but do not touch the handle with it. This will give you a correct and easy grip on the pistol.
Step 3
Now that you have formed the grip of the air pistol, enter the standing position. This is the main position, start learning to shoot in it. In order to take the correct position, turn to the left in a half-turn and without putting your right leg, put it forward in the direction of the target at a distance of shoulder width (this will be more convenient), distributing the body weight on both legs evenly.
Step 4
Now about how to hold an air pistol while aiming. Hold the pistol in your hand opposite your right eye, keep your hand at the level of the chin, and let your left hand freely lower down along the body or lay it behind your back. Place your thumb on the safety catch and lower it down in order to remove the safety catch (or turn off the safety catch). Keep your index finger so that it lightly touches the trigger.
