The line between saturating the body with delicious food and the desire to "chew something" is thin. The urge to eat is an instinctive need, but how can you force yourself, for example, not to overeat at night? In this struggle, hunger is unlikely to lose, but it is still worth trying to tame it.
Instructions
Step 1
You promise not to eat after 6 pm every day, but you can't help it? In no case should you be angry with yourself. Eat, but not heavy food. Fiber-rich foods and even lean meats work best. They are not as bad for the waist as they seem, but they give a real feeling of fullness. Consume them at least an hour and a half before going to bed.
Step 2
Remember the golden rule of almost all persons of blue blood: divide food into small pieces and chew 15 times on the left cheek and the same number of times on the right. Of course, it is not necessary to follow this prescription with all the rigor, but it is worth adopting. The more thoroughly you chew, the easier it is for your body to assimilate everything you eat. Moreover, long chewing can "deceive" the body, creating the illusion of satiety.
Step 3
Avoid chewing gum. They do not in any way affect the muffling of the feeling of hunger, on the contrary, they can only irritate it. Long-term chewing of gum can lead to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, including gastritis. Don't be fooled by trying to fool hunger - it's better to eat a completely harmless salad of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, or nibble on dried fruits.
Step 4
The tendency to overeat can arise from the amount of food that you put on your plate. Try replacing the plates with smaller ones. When applying food, estimate its volume. If you are used to eating 3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes, add 2 tablespoons. If you eat two patties, eat one, etc. But food rich in fiber, you can eat as much as you like. It will not be difficult to get used to this method, but over time you will feel lightness in your body.
Step 5
Drink plenty of fluids. Often, craving for food means that you are actually thirsty. If you feel like you want a snack, have a cup of tea or a glass of kefir. The feeling of hunger should be dulled. But never starve yourself with malnutrition. Eat small, balanced meals 5-6 times a day.
