While the Russian national football team is beating Saudi Arabia and will soon play with Egypt, it is worth remembering the head of the national team - Stanislav Cherchesov.
Childhood
Stanislav Cherchesov was born on September 2, 1963 in the small Russian town of Alagir in a large family of five. The family did not live well - the father worked as a bus driver, and the mother was engaged in raising 5 children, one of whom was Cherchesov. Stanislav was the youngest son in the family among the four older sisters.
At school, Stanislav Cherchesov studied poorly, and his parents sent their son to a football sports club. Until the age of 14, the future coach of the Russian national team reasoned - who he wants to be - a goalkeeper or a striker. At the age of 14, he made his choice by standing at the gate.
Football player career
After a year of entering the Institute of Physical Education in Ordzhonikidze, Stanislav takes the place of goalkeeper in the local branch of Spartak. In 1884 he received an invitation to the Moscow "Spartak", where until 1988 he was a goalkeeper. After playing later in Lokomotiv and having played well the season, it was a question of returning to Spartak.
Having received the title of the best domestic goalkeeper in Russia in 1992, a year later Cherchesov became a member of the German Dynamo team in Dresden. In 2002 he entered Spartak Moscow for the third time. In the same year he ends his football career.
Coach career
His coaching career began in January 2004. Having played in two Austrian football clubs "Kufstein", where he was all year, and "Wacker-Tyrol", in which he was until 2006, he became the coach of Moscow "Spartak". However, after a crushing defeat to CSKA with a score of 1: 5 and after the defeat of Dynamo Kiev with a score of 1: 4, the club's management sent the coach to the retirement. The very next day after the defeat.
At the end of 2010, he became the coach of the Zhemchuchina-Sochi team, which brought together the strongest players by the standards of the first division. In 2011, the team withdrew from the competition and ceased to exist.
In the spring of 2014 he almost returned to Spartak Moscow. The management almost agreed to return the coach, but later refused his services. Stanislav Cherchesov became the coach of Dynamo Moscow. The club showed good results in competitions. In the spring of 2015, after a conflict with the team's midfielder Igor Denisov and his transfer to the double, he left Dynamo three months later, losing to the new coach Andrei Kobelev.
In the summer of 2016, he becomes the coach of the Russian national team. During his career, the national team fell from 53rd to 56th place in the FIFA rating. The contract was signed before the end of the 2018 World Cup.
