The main football championship of the four years among the national teams of the Old World starts in the summer of 2016 in France. The European Football Championship 2016 will be held from June 10th to July 10th. All the teams that will take part in the fight for the title of winner of Euro 2016 have already been determined.

In 2016, for the first time in the history of European football, 24 national teams will take part in the Euro. Some experts consider such an innovation unreasonable to the extent that there are teams at the competition that do not meet the high European level. Others believe that the expansion of the Euro membership will not only broaden the list of participants, but also make the tournament much more interesting.

The draw for the final stage of Euro 2016 will take place on 12 December 2015 in Paris. In the tournament, 24 teams will split into six groups (four teams in each). All national teams participating in Euro 2016 are divided into four baskets, depending on the UEFA ranking.

The following teams got into the first basket: France (the host team of Euro 2016), Spain (the reigning European champion), Germany (the triumphant of the last World Cup), England, Portugal, as well as Belgium, whose national team in recent years has become famous for its scattering of world football stars.

It is gratifying to see the Russian team in the second draw basket. In addition to our national team, the following will be selected from the second basket: Italians, Austrians, Swiss, Croats, as well as the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The third basket for the Euro 2016 draw includes: Swedes, Czechs, Ukrainians, Romanians, Poles and Slovaks.

In the last fourth pot are the teams with the lowest UEFA rating coefficient. Namely, the national teams of Turkey, Iceland, Hungary, Albania, Wales and Northern Ireland.
