Snowboard clothes need special care, then they will last longer, will not lose their appearance and important qualities. How to wash and clean products made of membrane fabric, fleece, down?
Instructions
Step 1
Do not expose membrane fabrics to aggressive chemical attack. This means that bleaching and dry cleaning are prohibited, as are powders with bioenzymes. Choose products specifically designed for membrane fabrics. Do not soak the jacket, the temperature should not be higher than 40 degrees. When washing in the machine, do not use the automatic spin - it will destroy the structure of the fabric; limit yourself to a gentle regime, dry things on a hanger and never iron! But it is possible and necessary to process it after drying with a special water-repellent impregnation. Just choose a product specifically for clothes - impregnation for tents and tents will not work for you.
Step 2
It is better to entrust the cleaning of downy things to professionals. If you decide to tidy up the down jacket yourself, wash it at a low temperature by hand or in a machine using special detergents, rinse thoroughly and dry as soon as possible. Special attention should be paid to drying - wet fluff will simply rot during storage. It is necessary to store down jackets in a straightened form, otherwise the down will cake and gradually lose its insulating properties.
Step 3
Fleece clothing requires the same gentle approach, except that a simpler laundry detergent can be used. Just do not iron fleece items and do not dry on a radiator or heater - they will lose their visual appeal. There are special compounds that restore the water-repellent properties of fleece - take the expense and rinse fleece things after washing in such a solution, they will last you much longer.
Step 4
Snowboard thermal underwear, like any other thermal underwear, can be washed in the washing machine, just select a gentle mode and a low temperature. If you follow these rules, snowboarding clothes will not only keep their appearance, but will warm and protect you for a very long time.
