The jump owes its name to the Norwegian figure skater Axel Paulsen. This beautiful element is the most common in skating programs. It will take more than one day of hard training to learn how to do it.
It is necessary
- - figure skating skates;
- - the possibility of visiting the skating rink;
- - perhaps a coach.
Instructions
Step 1
Figure skating is considered one of the most traumatic sports. Therefore, it is much safer to seek help from a coach who will help you master the intricacies of this business.
Step 2
Currently, skaters use single, double and triple axel in their programs. There is also the so-called half-turn jump, which is performed similarly to the axel, if we consider the method of repulsion.
Step 3
Of course, you should learn to perform the axel gradually, starting with a crossover jump. Various techniques and techniques are used in training. A thorough working out of each element of the jump is carried out, cinematograms are viewed (special shooting in frame-by-frame mode). At the initial stage of training, each movement of the skater is controlled and automatically fixed.
Step 4
To perform the jump, you need a powerful take-off run at a speed of about 5 m / s. Then you should make a transition to prepare for the push. Here it is important to work out a stable body position before the push itself, to prevent lowering of the head, stoop, abduction of the pelvis and fussiness.
Step 5
Passing and sliding on the jogging foot should not change the direction of the body movement. This is a rather weighty requirement, since otherwise, the balance in the clean and jerk will be disturbed and the jump will simply not work.
Step 6
The correct choice of the method of creating the initial rotation will help to successfully master the jerk in the axle, which will avoid possible mistakes.
Step 7
Learn several stopper options. With a toothed stopper, the ridge of the jogging leg, breaking away from the ice surface, "rolls" over the teeth. The rib stopper assumes that the ridge of the supporting leg, turning relative to the sliding direction, "scrapes" the ice with the front surface of the outer rib. Experts agree that for the successful execution of the axel it is important to be able to combine these two stopper methods. It is optimal when the rib stopper effectively turns into a toothed stopper.
Step 8
Pay attention to the fact that it is necessary to have a good command of any method of stopping movement. This is important for making the required number of turns during flight. For example, a double axel requires more initial rotation. When it is performed by skaters, an edge or combined stopper is often used.
Step 9
To master the jumping technique, at the moment of pushing, coordinate the stopping movement, turning the shoulders and swinging the limbs. Hone your swing technique with special gym exercises. They allow you to improve the trajectories of the centers of gravity. As you master the exercises, use weights up to 1 kg.
Step 10
Another task of the simulation exercises is to learn how to brake quickly when swinging. At the very beginning of mastering the jump, one should learn to control the correctness of the trajectories of movements. Only after that you can start training the deceleration rate.
