Alpine skiing lovers living in Moscow have an excellent opportunity to practice this sport directly within the city. Within walking distance from the station. metro station "Nagornaya" in the capital is a large ski complex "Kant". Here, adults and young winter sports enthusiasts can go skiing or snowboarding down the mountains.
For the first time, sports fans were able to ski at the Kant base on the Nagornaya in 1982. At that time, near the Kotlovka river, the specialists of the Nagornaya Sports School and the Kant Sports Complex equipped the most grandiose ski complex in Moscow. The total area of the base was 12 hectares.
Trails
A total of 17 slopes are equipped at the ski base at Nagornaya, completely prepared for skiing. In the winter season, the slopes, if necessary, can be additionally covered with snow using special cannons.

The difference in altitude on the slopes of the base can reach 55 m. The longest slope is 350 m long. All trails equipped in the Kant complex are well illuminated at night.

Of course, in addition to alpine skiing, athletes have the opportunity to go snowboarding at the Kant base. The complex is also equipped with a snow park with elements for jibbing.
Lovers of simple ski runs should also come to the Kant base. For such guests, a special track has been laid in the complex.

The Kant base is definitely worth visiting, including those guests and residents of the capital who have never been snowboarding or skiing. If desired, beginners can pre-train in this complex on special SkyTec simulators that simulate descent from the mountain.

Trainings at the Nagornaya school are conducted both individually and in groups. Graduates of the institution have the opportunity, among other things, to take part in competitions held on the territory of the complex.

For example, the employees of the base organize school graduations, children's birthdays, etc. for a fee on its territory. When leaving the metro (in the direction of the last car), those wishing to ride down the mountains should turn left and walk about 600 m along the Electrolyte passage. Further, you just need to be guided by the signs with the inscription "Kant".
The complex at Nagornaya works all year round from 10:00 to 22:00. The ski season itself at the base opens on December 15 and closes on March 15.
