Today we will talk about what desirable factors matter in yoga practice. They all matter! Their importance is especially great for those who are just starting to use yoga practices in their lives.
Place of practice
It is very good when we practice yoga on the street. In this case, the weather should be appropriate, there should be no drafts. It shouldn't be too hot, nor should it be too cold. The temperature should be comfortable.
There are no clear recommendations here, tk. the temperature is chosen by the practitioner himself, depending on the degree of hardening and other factors. The person should be comfortable.
If it is very hot outside, we will not be able to concentrate on the practice. our body will be hard. If it is too cold, then you will have to put on a large number of things, which will hinder our movements and also prevent us from immersing ourselves in the lesson.
In general, the temperature should be right for you. And if, after all, there is a choice between staying at home to practice or dressing a little warmer, but already practicing on the street, then we make a choice in favor of outdoor activities.
If you perform your set of asanas outdoors, you yourself will feel how much more effective such exercises are than indoors.
Group lessons or home lessons. Which one to prefer?
Another point that worries novice practitioners is how to start classes in a group or on their own, at home. You can learn it yourself, or you can find an instructor.
Of course, it would be nice if you do your first steps in yoga practice under the guidance of an experienced instructor, maybe individually, maybe in a group. The instructor will be able to direct you on the right path from the very beginning.
There are several "buts" here. Firstly, finding an intelligent instructor is not as easy as it might seem at first glance, because not all people who teach yoga are real instructors. Secondly, there may be such a factor when you live far from the place where classes are held or you do not have money to attend these classes.
If you are faced with one of these obstacles, then it makes sense not to postpone the beginning of classes in anticipation of "ideal conditions", but to start practicing on your own. Fortunately for us, there are now a sufficient number of quality self-study guides and books on hatha yoga.
Alternatively, we can start studying yoga from treatises. Of course, this will take longer. And in the process, errors and misunderstanding of the material may arise.
The ideal option would be such an approach to classes when we manage to alternate classes with an instructor and independent practice.
The main thing to remember is that yoga tells us not to postpone. After all, if we do not practice, time works against us, and if in our life regular yoga practice is the norm, then, on the contrary, time works for us!
