Many young athletes want to get into local hockey teams, while others already want to try their hand at a more advanced level. As in any other sport, each of them should follow a number of important recommendations. Check out the following list of rules that are almost guaranteed to give you the opportunity to play as a team.
It is necessary
- - Recommendations from trainers;
- - portfolio of your team;
- - video presentation of your game.
Instructions
Step 1
Get the support of the coaches of the teams you have played on before. To do this, you need to ask them to compose letters of recommendation for you. They should be positive and show that you have made an incredible contribution to the team's previous success.
Step 2
Be the leader on your team, even if you are playing in the yard championship. Team captains tend to be more likely to get a place on any team. It is because of your leadership skills that you will have a better chance than others.
Step 3
Make a portfolio of your club's achievements. Save any newspaper clippings or mentions of your team's success and, in particular, your personal one.
Step 4
Create a video collage. Collect cuts of great games that highlight your contributions to the team. Ask your coaches and teammates to help you with this. Have them pick the most memorable moments.
Step 5
Attend all the activities of the club you want to play. Usually the entire coaching staff of the team is present at every game at home or away at matches. It's just a great way to make a good impression and also to bond with your coach or team managers. Remember to behave appropriately both on and off the ice. The first impression is the strongest.
Step 6
Send the requested information about yourself on time. If your target team members ask for more information, then they are interested in you. Get ready for this! Provide everything you need on time and in a professional manner.
Step 7
Always play only to win. Train hard all the time and do a lot more than others. If you prove with all your looks and actions that you are a valuable player, you will be accepted into the team in any case. It's just a matter of time.
