Probably, most people associate this word with a bouncy. After all, tap is a dance based on tap dance. But this concept has expanded, and now it represents a much wider group of exercises than just dance movements. Now the term step is an integral part of step aerobics.
Instructions
Step 1
Why step aerobics? Everything is logical here, given that in the modern sense, a step is a special platform, a sports equipment for training. Outwardly, it is very similar to a low wide bench. You can snort in disbelief, they say, what is sporting and why the high rank of the projectile, but the step is not as simple as it seems. Take a closer look at it.
Step 2
As a tool that is used when performing physical exercises, a step platform must strictly comply with a whole list of requirements and criteria. After all, this is a guarantee of safety for the trainee. The most important criteria are strength, stability, tenacity.
Step 3
The usual height for a step is from 15 to 30 cm, and the width is 50 cm. Of course, it is better and safer to buy such a platform, but with a strong desire or lack of money, you can make it yourself. To do this, simply take a stable bench suitable for the listed parameters.
Step 4
Apply a layer of glue to the bench, even PVA is suitable, and cover with a non-slip, rubberized cloth. Make sure that the fabric is as completely saturated with glue as possible and fits snugly against the bench.
Step 5
Secure the edges of the fabric to the underside of the bench with small studs or staples that furniture makers use.
Step 6
Sometimes, for cushioning, a thin rubber plate is laid between the wood and the fabric, in which case it must be fixed separately with the same furniture nails, and only then the fabric should be glued.
Step 7
It is also interesting that there are more than 200 ways to step up and down the steps. Did you think you know how to go up and down the steps? It turns out that you do not know even a hundredth part of all possible options for this seemingly simple activity. Of course, all these exercises are performed to music with a clear rhythm. Unfortunately, lovers of the classics in step aerobics classes will hardly be able to hear Dvořák or Bach, if only in the processing of some DJ.
