If winter is just around the corner, you should think about snowboarding. Fortunately, their wide assortment has a choice. However, it should be noted that snowboarding is quite an expensive thing. Therefore, you can make it from boards, make fasteners and paint yourself. After all, it's nice to ride in the snow on a snowboard made with your own hands.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a board 1.5 m long and about 1.5 cm wide and outline the boundaries of the snowboard on it, and then cut the blank with a jigsaw. Grind the edges with a wooden block and sandpaper.
Step 2
Now the board needs to be bent. To do this, leave it under very hot running water for 20 minutes. Place the board on a table and place a heavy load on the center of the board. Place small pieces of wood from the sawing waste under the edges and leave the blank in this form overnight. In the morning, soak only the ends of the board and again put blocks under them, but thicker. This will give the ends of the board the desired bend.
Step 3
Make the fasteners for the board from plywood 1 cm thick. Cut out the blanks for the fasteners in the shape of the letter "A" with long ends. Place the pieces of fasteners under hot water for 15 minutes. Wrap the already flexible plywood around the foot and fix with cement blocks until the pieces are dry.
Step 4
For the base of the fastening, take plywood about 1, 3 cm thick and cut two trapezoids out of it. The narrow section will be on the side of the ankle. Fasten the fastening blanks to the base - you get a completely standard fastening with a high back and two walls along the feet, as well as the base. Paint the fasteners and let them dry.
Step 5
If the bindings were snowboard and paint the second side, remembering to stick adhesive tape around the edges. It would be advisable to apply another layer of paint to the board, after which you can apply the logo to the board.
Step 6
Buy fiberglass and metal hardener (this usually comes with fiberglass in the bargain). In a disposable plastic container, put fiberglass about a third of the volume and drip the required amount of hardener (based on the instructions). It is better to carry out this operation outdoors, so as not to inhale the poisonous fumes from fiberglass. Using the cheapest brush (which is not a pity), apply the resulting mixture first to the base of the board, then to all its other parts and fasteners. When the mixture is dry, cover the snowboard one more time.
Step 7
We cut 8 straps from a suitable material, sew one Velcro to each, then attach one buckle to the four straps. Fasten the buckles with fiberglass directly to the mount.
Step 8
All that remains is to attach a sticker to the snowboard. Let it be, for example, a round hologram glued over the mounts. That's all, you can ride. Just keep in mind that our board may look real, but it is not as strong. But a homemade snowboard is much lighter than a "purchased" one.
