You start doing something, a few days pass, and you give up what you started. Sound familiar? To avoid this, you need to find motivation. Here are tips on how to stay motivated to exercise.
Instructions
Step 1
Find a partner. Instead of meeting your friends at a café for high-calorie food and drinks, meet them at the gym or dance class. It will make it harder for you to avoid training, and it will also be much more interesting.
Step 2
Create a supportive training environment. Buy clothes that are comfortable and pretty for your class. Create a playlist with your favorite music. Do you like audiobooks? Listen to them while you run. Knowing that you are making a good use of your time will also motivate you.
Step 3
Set goals. Some people may be motivated by vague goals, such as health or weight control. But if it's not for you, set more specific goals, such as splitting. You can argue with someone - motivation will double.
Step 4
Use fear as a motivator. Imagine what will happen to you and your health in the future. Will training be able to correct the picture?
Step 5
Reward yourself immediately after training. Just let it be something useful and not contradicting your goals.
Step 6
Find what you like. There is no need to torture yourself and force you to do what you dislike. There will be little benefit from this. Are you looking for an activity that you enjoy: yoga, climbing wall, or maybe boxing?
Step 7
Set records. Competition with yourself is a very good motivation. Plus, it will boost your self-esteem.
