For the first time in Russia, the Sokolniki Park will host the Lady on a Bicycle bike parade. The event is scheduled for August 5th. At 12 o'clock there will be a "Start" of the bike ride, in which all ladies can take part, but certain conditions must be observed.
The main condition for the participants of the event is to go through the dress code. Lady must be dressed in 1960s style. Bright fitted dresses, sundresses with puffy skirts, stylized hairstyles decorated with ribbons and flowers, retro accessories - gloves, a scarf, large earrings and beads, brooches, pill hats or wide-brimmed straw hats, a clutch bag, open sandals with high heels, wide a belt is all that will serve as a pass for participation in the race.
To get to the bike parade, it is enough to come to Sokolniki Park 1 hour earlier than the bike ride or make an appointment in advance by visiting the park administration at the address: Moscow, st. A rich entertainment program has been prepared for guests and participants of the holiday: an exhibition of old photographs, retro music, an exposition of retro bicycles, and prize drawings. The main screen on Fontannaya Square will show films from past years and ironic newsreels.
The main goal of the holiday is to popularize the bicycle as a means of transportation. Nowadays, the car is more and more used. But a bicycle is the most economical means by which you can go to work, to visit, to meet with friends, to the store, etc.
The event will end with a solemn announcement of the winners, who will be determined by voting and the presentation of the main prize - a bicycle. Guests of the holiday will vote for the participants. The jury secretary will oversee the voting. The protocol of voting results will be posted on all Internet resources.
