A scuba diving instructor is a professional who must be able to both pass on his experience of a successful dive, and convey to you all the subtleties and nuances. He needs to be a good psychologist so that the learners do not lose interest in diving.
It is necessary
- - medical certificate that there are no restrictions on scuba diving;
- - swimming accessories - swimsuit or swimming trunks.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to understand what you expect from the training? If your goal is limited to a one-off dive at the seaside, an introductory course of initial training will be enough for you. Such courses are offered by many specialized diving clubs. And the instructor in them can be selected according to the principle of psychological compatibility, based on no personal empathy - "liked" or "disliked".
Step 2
If your goal is long-term, you plan to go beyond one-time dives, in which case you should contact PADI - the professional association of scuba diving instructors. The clubs of this association ensure strict control over the work of instructors and the highest standards of safety during diving. Therefore, before you start training, you will be asked to undergo a medical examination. Don't ignore your doctor's advice. Remember that scuba diving can be traumatic and a good instructor will monitor your overall fitness as you learn.
Step 3
As you begin your instructor-led training, note that scuba diving requires natural reflexes underwater, the skills to use the equipment correctly, and the necessary knowledge to prevent inappropriate reactions under adverse conditions. If you do not feel that you are developing these skills, consider changing your instructor.
Step 4
You should feel psychologically comfortable in instructor-led classes. If you enjoy scuba diving and build confidence during your lessons, then you have chosen the right instructor for you.
