Ski gloves are not only a beautiful accessory, but primarily sports equipment that serves to keep you warm and reduce the likelihood of injury.

Instructions

Step 1

Examine the product, turn it out, feel it carefully. Good alpine skiing gloves have three layers: an inner layer of synthetic fabric that absorbs sweat well and transports it into the next layers; a middle layer that retains heat inside the glove (usually a specially developed synthetic material, in cheaper versions it is replaced by thin foam rubber); the third layer is the outer fabric, usually it is impregnated with special means so that the glove does not blow through and does not get wet.

Step 2

Consider the cuffs of your gloves. It has either an assembly on the wrist, or a retainer that fastens with Velcro tightly on the arm. The first option is suitable for those who have a linden retainer sewn onto the sleeves of a ski suit, and the glove will be tucked in. The second option is more suitable for those who do not have special cuffs on the sleeves; such gloves are worn over a jacket. Remember that the fixing element is needed not only to prevent snow from falling inside the glove when falling, but also to stiffen the wrist.

Step 3

Give preference to gloves over mittens if you are going to ride in less cold conditions; if the lift system (ski pass) is such that it is inconvenient to use it in mittens; if you ride with small children and periodically there is a need to correct the details of the suit, it is more convenient to do it with gloves. On the other hand, it is warmer to ride in mittens.

Step 4

Pay attention to the details. Various little things make your stay on the track more comfortable. This is the presence of special strips of rubberized material on the inside of the palm, which do not allow the handle of the ski pole to slide. Carabiners sewn to gloves will also make your life easier. They connect the pair to each other and are attached to the loop on the suit, which reduces the likelihood of accidental loss.

Step 5

Choose special gloves for extreme alpine skiing if you prefer to ski on the virgin soil or among the trees. Such gloves are equipped with additional modules for rigidity and fixation of the wrists.
